How often are stable/gallops visits organised?
These are not once or twice a year! You are most welcome to visit the stables and gallops whenever you can find the time to attend.
The racing company is very well aware that the club horses are owned by - and the training fees paid for by - the Club members' (shareholding contributions)
and we encourage members to visit the stables and come and watch their horses on the gallops
as often as they can, obviously without charge. As an owner in the Group 1 Racing Club simply come down to Tony Carroll's purpose built
gallops any day, you will be made very welcome.
Gallop days are Tuesday and Friday mornings (Start 8AM finish around 1PM - but Club horses work at a pre-arranged time to suit Club members visiting.) The horses do canter on a Saturday, but generally the morning does finish earlier (11AM) as staff like to get away.
Schooling days can be any day (to meet jockey availability) but notice is given in the Club Members' Area on the Club web-site, which is updated daily.
In addition, each year the Company does hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM)
which is preceded by an Open Day at the stables, (always free) and followed by a party which
is either free or subsidised by the Club. The latest AGM / Open Day was held in the Spring of 2008. A warm welcome was
extended to all members and family. This was followed by lunch at the New Inn, Cropthorne.
The next AGM and Open Day is Spring 2011, where we will parade, amongst others, our latest partnership acquistions.
